Welcome to BiasharaReview. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at biasharareview.com and any related services (together, the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by Tanzanite Digital LLC, a company registered in the United Republic of Tanzania ("we", "us", "our").
By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. What BiasharaReview is
BiasharaReview is a free platform where people in Tanzania can find, review and rate businesses, and where business owners can claim their listing and respond to reviews. Reviews are written by members of the public. We do not write reviews, and we do not verify that every statement in a review is true.
2. Who can use the Platform
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post content. Anyone can browse and read reviews without an account.
To write a review, save a business or add or claim a listing, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for everything done through it.
3. Your content
"Content" means anything you post on the Platform: reviews, ratings, titles, photos, business listings, business descriptions, responses to reviews and reports.
You keep ownership of your Content. By posting it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce, adapt (for example, to resize a photo or show a snippet), translate and distribute it on the Platform and in previews of the Platform (such as search engine results and social media link previews). This licence lasts as long as the Content is on the Platform, and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups and legal record-keeping.
You are responsible for your Content. You confirm that:
- it is based on your own genuine experience, in the case of a review;
- it is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- you have the right to post it, including any photos;
- it does not break any law or these Terms.
4. Review rules
Reviews are the heart of the Platform, so we hold them to a clear standard. A review must:
- describe a real experience you personally had with the business;
- be about the business, not about a private individual;
- be written by you, not paid for, traded, or written on someone else's behalf.
You must not:
- review a business you own, work for, or have a financial interest in, or a direct competitor of one;
- post the same review more than once, or review the same business from more than one account;
- post fake, misleading, defamatory, hateful, threatening, obscene or discriminatory content;
- post anyone's private information (phone numbers, home addresses, ID numbers, health details) without their consent;
- offer or accept payment, discounts or other incentives in exchange for a review or a rating;
- use bots, scripts or automated tools to post, vote or scrape.

5. Business listings and claims
Anyone signed in may add a business that is not yet listed. Listings added this way are marked Unclaimed until the owner claims them. An Unclaimed listing is community-contributed information and has not been verified by us.
A business owner or authorised representative may claim a listing by providing proof that they represent the business: either a business document (such as a Tax Identification Number certificate or business licence) or verification through the business's official social media account. We review claims manually. By submitting a claim you confirm that you are authorised to represent that business and that the documents or accounts you provide are genuine. We may reject or reverse a claim at any time if we have reason to believe it is not legitimate.
Claimed business owners may respond publicly to reviews. Responses must follow the same rules as reviews: no abuse, no private information, no threats. Owners must not attempt to identify or contact reviewers outside the Platform in a way that could be seen as intimidation.
6. Moderation
We may remove, hide, edit the display of, or refuse any Content that we reasonably believe breaks these Terms or the law, and we may suspend or close accounts that repeatedly or seriously break them. We may hold a review for checks before it is published. Where practical we will tell you why Content was removed.
We are under no obligation to monitor all Content, and the presence of Content on the Platform does not mean we endorse it.
7. Reports
If you believe a review or listing breaks these Terms, use the Report feature on that review or listing. Reports are reviewed by a human. Filing false or repeated bad-faith reports is itself a breach of these Terms.
8. Our intellectual property
The BiasharaReview name, logo, the BiasharaScore name and rating design, and the Platform's design and code belong to us. You may not copy them or use them to suggest an endorsement without our written permission. You may share links to Platform pages freely.
9. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, interfere with its operation, scrape it at scale, or use it for any unlawful purpose, including any purpose contrary to the Cybercrimes Act, 2015 or the Electronic and Postal Communications (Online Content) Regulations of the United Republic of Tanzania.
10. Disclaimer
The Platform is provided "as is". Reviews reflect the opinions of the people who wrote them, not ours. We do not guarantee that any listing, rating or review is accurate, complete or current, and you should not rely on it as the sole basis for a decision. Business hours, prices, contact details and locations may change without our knowledge.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Tanzanian law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on any Content, including loss of business, revenue or reputation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for any claim, loss or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Content you post or from your breach of these Terms.
13. Changes to the Platform and to these Terms
The Platform is new and will change. We may add, change or withdraw features at any time. We may also update these Terms; if the change is significant we will give notice on the Platform. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Ending your use
You may stop using the Platform at any time and may ask us to delete your account by emailing hi@biasharareview.com. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms. Reviews from a closed account may remain on the Platform, in anonymised form, if they are part of a business's genuine history.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
